Mr. Chouhan redresses people’s grievances through Samadhan online
Bhopal, February 3, 2011 (Ataullah Faizan): The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked the commissioners and collectors to ensure speedy disbursement of relief to the frost-affected farmers while maintaining transparency. He was talking to commissioners and collectors through video conferencing Samadhan online programme at Mantralaya here today. Mr. Chouhan said that there is no dearth of money for relief to farmers. There was demand of Rs. 638 crore from districts which has been arranged. He asked the collectors to ensure that the subordinate field staff act promptly. Negligence in distribution of relief would not be tolerated.
Mr. Chouhan asked the district collectors to furnish updated report about relief distribution every day to the concerning commissioners, who will update the Chief Minister’s office. The Chief Minister gave important instructions. He asked the collectors to ensure that the details of relief distribution to affected farmers and village wise list of farmers are pasted on the walls of Panchayat buildings for public notice. If possible, the staff sanctioning relief and engaged in distribution of relief should be separate.
He asked the collectors to form district level teams for on-the-spot disposal of complaints regarding crop loss assessment. He instructed the collectors to properly apprise the visiting central team of the enormity of crop loss. He said that the farmers whose crop was insured under crop insurance schemes must get insurance amount. Referring to Antyodaya Melas, Mr. Chouhan asked the collectors to organize Antyodaya Melas in all district by March 31 and fix dates after consulting the Ministers in charge of district. He said that all eligible beneficiaries under various schemes should be ensured benefits.
