Mr Bhargava at meeting of district planning committee
Bhopal, August 18, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): At a meeting of Guna District Planning Committee, Panchayats, Rural Development, Social Justice and Cooperatives Mr. Gopal Bhargava directed to complete construction works with quality within time-limit. Minister in-charge of district Mr. Bhargava reviewed progress of 143 works costing over Rs.50 lakh. Mr. Bhargava directed to re-open closed piped water schemes on priority. He directed to get assessed works of various constructions through other construction companies. Minister Mr. Bhargava urged committee members to enlist problems of their respective areas so that they can be solved early. Mr. Bhargava also apprised himself of works under Green India Mission and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He also reviewed implementation on decisions taken at last meeting. Mr. Bhargava himself and members of the committee tasted milk being supplied to children at anganwadis to assess its quality and taste. District collector Mr. Shriman Shukla informed about progress of development works. He informed under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 690 toilets have been constructed from State Head and 20 with the cooperation of NFL. During current financial year, 2890 toilets have been constructed by BPL and APL beneficiaries.
It was informed that Green India Mission with convergence of MNREGA and Horticulture Department has been started in every Janpad Panchayat. For this, one cluster each and beneficiaries have also been selected. Zila Panchayat President Mrs. Archana Chouhan, MLAs Mr. Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Mr. Pannalal Shakya and Mrs. Mamta Meena were also present.
