SEC Mr Parasuram at smart city conclave
Bhopal, August 22, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): In Smart City’s planning, optimum utilisation of land, water and energy should be ensured, stated State Election Commissioner Mr R. Parasuram at Smart City Conclave here today. He said that identity of Bhopal should be of a Leafy Lake City. For this, adequate plantation should also be ensured in newly developed colonies. Mr Parasuram said that population of the city is bound to rise. Comprehensive planning should be made to facilitate increasing population.
Not only Central funds, state’s own resources should also be used fully. Planning of Smart City should not remain confined to catering needs of only upper middle and middle classes. Full attention should be paid to demography. Land should be effectively managed. Final solution should be thrashed out for sanitation. Transport facility should be available to every locality. He said that stress should be laid on leaving open spaces for social life and solving basic problems of the city.
Proper transport facility should be available for visitors to Bhopal from nearby cities. Mr. Parasuram said that all measures should be adopted to make the city livable. He said that identifying own mistakes is not weakness, but strength. Mr Parasuram said that the more the city is clean, the more it will attract investment. MP Mr Alok Sanjar, Mayor Mr Alok Sharma, Katni Mayor Mr Shashank Shrivastava and Commissioner Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mr Tejaswi S. Nayak were also present.
