Mr. Chouhan sanctions Rs. 571.68 crore works at Dewas
Performs Bhumi Poojan of Rs. 173.24 crore construction works
Bhopal, September 1, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that MP is the top state in world in agriculture growth. The Chief Minister was addressing development convention at Dewas today. He sanctioned Rs. 571.68 crore for development works in Dewas city, performed Bhumi Poojan of Rs. 173.24 crore construction works and announced installation of life-size statue of late Mr. Tukojirao Puar . He declared Vijayaganj Mandi as Tappa tahasil. Minister of State for Education Mr. Deepak Joshi and MP Mr. Manohar Untwal were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that earlier, farmers were given agriculture loans at 18 percent interest rate. Now, we are providing it at zero percent interest rate.
He said that that government has decided to give 10 percent loan subsidy to farmers. Mr. Chouhan said that it would be ensured that farmers get full benefit of crop insurance policy. He said that the state government is going to ensure that every person in the state owns a house. To facilitate students in studies, smart phones will be provided to first and second year students in colleges and students securing over 85 percent marks in class XII will be given laptops. Provision has been made for scholarships to children belonging to poor general class families.
He said that women are being empowered and adequate opportunities of health, education, rehabilitation and employment are being provided to them. Bank guarantee of loans worth Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. one crore will be provided for self-employment of youths. The Chief Minister said that Dewas will be made Smart City. The Chief Minister also inspected a development exhibition.
