Professors unable to work to get forced retirement

Mr. Gupta undertakes departmental review

lead2.9Bhopal, September 2, 2015 (Muslim Saleem):  Assistant professors and professors unable to work will be given forced retirement. Higher Education Department has constituted a committee for scrutiny of such cases. Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at a department review committee here today directed to convene a meeting of the committee soon. Mr. Gupta directed to rationalize subject-wise posts.

He said that assistant professors should be promoted as professors and professors as principals at the earliest. Regional Additional Directors should inspect colleges in September. During review of Technical Education Department, Mr. Gupta directed to appoint in-charge principals of Jhabua and Shahdol engineering colleges. He also sought information about recruitment of lecturers for polytechnic colleges. Principal Secretary Higher Education Mr. K.K. Singh, Commissioner Mr. Umakant Umrao, Additional Secretary Technical Education Mr. D.D. Agrawal and other officers attended the meeting.
