Mr. Gaur reviews works to make traffic smooth

Directs to relocate fish market elsewhere

Bhopal, September 3, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan):  Home and Jail Minister Mr. Babulal Gaur reviewed ongoing works to make traffic smooth in the city in a meeting at police control room here today. He said that before developing Bhopal as Smart city, it is necessary to maintain and widen its roads. Chairman of Bhopal Development Authority Mr. Om Yadav and SP Mr. Anil Maheshwari were also present. Mr. Gaur directed to relocate Fish Market from Budhwara to elsewhere with the cooperation of all departments. Mr. Gaur directed to remove encroachements in front of BHEL Jubilee Gate and repair footpath. He also directed to shift about 90 electric poles impeding traffic. Mr. Gaur said that all departments must coordinate with each other to streamline city traffic. He directed to complete all works identified to smoothen traffic by October.

Mr. Gaur directed to widen canal at Chuna Bhatti and repair culvert and road within 15 days. He also directed to widen road to Habibganj under-bridge and repair nullah. He sought information about development of terminal and bus-stop near platform number 6 of main railway station. Mr. Gaur said that people should be made aware to keep Bhopal clean. He also instructed to repair road from Pul Bogda to Bharat Talkies. Mr. Gaur directed to widen road from police control room to DB Mall at the earliest.

He said that road from Board Office to Jyoti Talkies crossing should be repaired and arrangements made to flush out water. The Minister also directed to widen road from Habibganj crossing to DRM Office, construction of Gufa Mandir’s culvert and widen its road. He said that buses plying form ISBT should not pass through BHEL to prevent accidents. Municipal corporation informed that work orders have been placed for 100 bus stops in the city and work will start in 15 days. Officers of municipal corporation, police, PWD, CPA, railway, BHEL, Energy Department etc. attended the meeting.
