Attractive folk culture programmes on the night of 10th Vishwa Hindi Sammelan
Bhopal, September 11, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that unity in diversity is hallmark of India. Mr. Chouhan state this while welcoming artistes having come for cultural evening. He said that he welcomes all participants of the cultural evening through core of his heart. West Bengal Governor Mr. Kesari Nath Tripathi, Minister of State for External Affairs Gen. V.K Singh, Agriculture Minister Mr. Gaurishankar Bisen, Minister of State for Culture Mr. Surendra Patwa, CM’s wife Mrs. Sadhana Singh and Vice President of Managing Committee Mr. Anil Madhav Dave were present on the occasion.
During 70-minute event, glimpses of folk culture of Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western India were presented. Through folk dances, lifestyles, classical music and melodious tunes were presented. East African tribes Siddhigoma, which had inhabited Gujarat’s coastal areas 700 years ago, presented spell-bounding Siddhi Dhamal folk dance. Martial arts-based presentations were made by Kalari Parratu of Kerala.
Through Puralia Chhau folk dance on Puraliya, West Bengal, ancient narration of Mahisasur Mardan was resulting in victory of truth over evil. Rufi dance presented during ramazan was presented by artistes of Jammu-Kashmir and Bihu, the dance of joy and fervour of Assam were also presented. Later, Minister of External Affairs Mrs. Sushma Swaraj hosted a dinner to all guests and artistes. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan also attended it. It was informed that Ath Hindi Katha will be presented by 200 hundred artistes simultaneously on September 11.
