Local bodies should resolve to make cities beautiful and developed

lead17.9Bhopal, September 17, 2015 (Muslim Saleem):   Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that local bodies should resolve to make cities beautiful and developed. Mr. Chouhan was addressing swearing-in ceremony of Vidisha Nagar Palika President and Corporators today. He announced Rs. 192 crore works for development of Vidisha city. Revenue Minister Mr. Rampal Singh, MPs Mr. Laxmi Narayan Yadav, Choudhary Munawwar Salim and local MLA were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that Vidisha city has historic value. It is responsibility of all to keep the city clean, beautiful and green. He assured that there would be no lack of funds for development works. He asked newly elected President and other office-bearers to be known by courteous attitude and development. All should follow tradition of joint work and ensure all-round development of the city.   The Chief Minister welcomed pledge of newly elected office-bearers that no contracts will be taken in the urban body by the office-bearers or their family members. He also welcomed the suggestion to run a separate school and coaching centre for sanitation workers of the body.

The Chief Minister announced to open a new Gaushala at village Suakheri in Vidisha district where 65 bigha land has been earmarked for it. Stray animals will be kept in the Gaushala. The Chief Minister also dedicated Daura Pedhi to MLB School flyover. Mr. Chouhan announced Rs. 75 crore for construction of 1500 houses within Vidisha urban limits, Rs. 84 crore for sewage line and treatment plant and Rs. 33 crore 59 lakh for drinking water supply. Newly elected President of Vidisha Nagar Palika Mr. Mukesh Tandon said that the urban body will work to realise dream of the Chief Minister to make Vidisha city beautiful. Every possible effort will be made to ensure that the city is known by development, beauty, environment and civic amenities.
