Mr. Gupta at seminar “Quality in higher education”
Bhopal, September 25, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Professors should do something to ensure that students have smiles on faces while receiving degrees. This was stated by Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at seminar “Role of Internal Quality Assurance for Quality of Higher Education” at Government Hamidia College here today. Representatives of government colleges of Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions participated in the seminar. Mr. Gupta said that professors should impart teaching in such a way that students memorise it forever.
He said that quality will improve when state government does works of its share and teachers should do their best. Education and students should be topics of discussions in staff rooms. The Minister said that individual suggestions to be put forth in the workshop will also displayed on portal. He urged to send good views and suggestions to the department. Mr. Gupta said that education should aim at safeguarding students’ future. He also directed to impart teaching in colleges in vacant periods. Industrialist Mr. Ramesh Chandra Agrawal called for serious consideration on increasing role of coaching classes. He said that graduation level education should be purposeful. Additional Director Mrs. Sudha Vaisa, Principal Mr. P.K. Jain and participants also spoke on the occasion.
