JETRO interested in Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor
Bhopal, October 1, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan on second day of his Japan visit met the CEO of Japan External Trade Organization(JETRO) Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige and discussed investment possibilities. He also addressed a seminar held for prospective investors. Mr. Ishige praised Mr. Chouhan for initiatives to push policy reforms for boosting trade and investment. The Japan External Trade Organization showed interest in partnership for Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). JETRO also signed a memorandum of understanding with Madhya Pradesh for the purpose.
Addressing the seminar for heads of trade associations and investors’ community Mr. Chouhan listed the benefits of investing in Madhya Pradesh. He said that a seminar for dialogue with Japanese companies will soon be held in Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with JETRO. Mr. Chouhan said that the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan has left a positive impact on trade representatives.
The trading community is enthusiastic about investment ventures. He said that the Prime Minister’s charismatic leadership, his vision is a boon to the nation. Mr. Chouhan urged the investors to visit Madhya Pradesh saying that it is fast progressing state and ideal investment destination. All requisite infrastructures have been established. He said that the State’s double digit growth rate continues to be highest among Indian states.
