CM reviews rehabilitation of Petlawad’s affected persons
Bhopal, October 10, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed progress of works related to relief and rehabilitation of affected persons of Petlawad incident here today. Mr. Chouhan was informed that relief has been provided to all affected persons. Of the 73 injured, 10 are under treatment free of cost at hospitals at Dahod, Baroda and Indore. Concerning hospitals have been provided entire amount for treatment. All announcements made by the Chief Minister are being implemented at a rapid pace. Minister in-charge of Ratlam district Mr. Antar Singh Arya and Chief Secretary Mr. Anthony de Sa also attended the meeting. Mr. Chouhan undertook point-wise review of every announcement made by him during Petlawad visit.
He said that these works are like ointment on injuries. The loss is irreparable, but sorrow and pain can be cushioned through rehabilitation with sympathy and compassion. He said that information about accused of the incident should be published throughout the world through various mass media. He directed for separate action for Bamaniya water supply scheme and complete it at the earliest. The Chief Minister was informed that 6 road construction works are being undertaken by PWD.
Upgradation of Jhonjhar, Kardawad and Hameergarh’s middle schools and Barwet’s high school is being done by Tribal Development Department. Rural Road Development Corporation is constructing bridge over Ladki river. Self-employment has been made available to family members of 3 deceased while 12 persons have been appointed on various posts at local level. Education Department is making efforts for appointments in 3 cases by relaxing rules.
