This was stated by Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at mass Kshamawani Mahotsav at Digambar Jain Mandir, Tin Shade here yesterday. The Minister said that Jain community’s Dashlakshan and Kshamawani are unique festivals during which forgiveness of all beings including humans is sought. Seeking forgiveness brings unprecedented change in lifestyle.
The Minister felicitated newly elected President of Digambar Jain Panchayat Drisht Mr. Pramod Himanshu and newly elected member of Chamber of Commerce’s executive and journalist Mr. Rakesh Singhai. Corporator Mrs. Saroj Jain and Mandir Committee’s President Mr. Amar Jain were also present on the occasion. When Mr. Gupta reached temple premises at given time of 7 pm, no one was there except a couple of event managers. Mr. Gupta said that being MLA of the area, he would welcome guests at the function. He not only waited for people for half an hour, but also played role of host.
