MP to have centralized tourists’ tracking system

Bhopal, October 18, 2015 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a centralized tourists tracking system would be set up in Madhya Pradesh to resolve problems of tourists and take care of facilities. Every year tourism events would be organized along the banks of the Narmada to promote the state’s tourism, culture and folk arts. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the MP Travel Mart here today. Representatives of tourism industry from home and abroad are participating in the event. The Chief Minister said that training programme would be launched to ensure availability of trained guides. Describing Madhya Pradesh as wonderful state in terms of tourism, he said that religious, heritage and wild life every dimension of tourism exists.
The Simhastha 2016 is coming up in which five crore pilgrims would participate from home and abroad. This mega event will have ideological events in which scholars from all over the world will discuss human welfare and environmental conservation and Simhastha Declaration will also be released. The Chief Minister said that there are immense opportunities for employment generation in tourism sector. State’s growth and agriculture growth rates are maximum in the country. The state has better road connectivity and power is available 24X7. Area under irrigation in the state has been increased from 7 lakh hectares to 36 lakh hectares. In our culture, entire country is regarded as one family. Suggestions put forth for tourism development will be implemented.
Minister for Tourism Mr. Surendra Patwa said that Madhya Pradesh has created a distinct identity in tourism sector. In last one decade, the state has witnessed tremendous progress. He said that tourism festivals will be included in calendar for cultural programmes. Principal Secretary Mrs. Veera Rana delivered the welcome address. State Tourism Development Corporation’s Managing Director Mr. Hari Ranjan Rao gave a presentation on the state’s development and tourism potential. Mr. Subhash Goyal, president of the Indian Association of Tour Operators also spoke on the occasion. The Additional Managing Director State Tourism Development Corporation Miss Tanvi Sundriyal proposed a vote of thanks.
