Utkrisht Nirmal Vidyalaya award also to be given
Bhopal, November 4, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Union Urban Development and Human Resources ministries have launched a sanitation drive marking completion of one year of ‘Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan’. Under the drive, ‘Sanitation Fortnight’ is being observed in all educational institutions including schools, colleges, libraries etc till November 15. Under Swachchhata Abhiyan, students of schools and colleges, NGOs, other local groups and institutions will make the drive as a mass movement. This work will be done in collaboration with Urban Development and School Education departments in the state. In collaboration with School Education Department, urban bodies will undertake paintings on outer of boundaries of school, colleges and community toilets giving message of sanitation. During the campaign, ‘Utkrisht Nirmal School Award’ will also be given for creating awareness about sanitation in urban schools and motivating healthy competition for sanitation.
One ‘Utkrisht Nirmal School Award’ will be given in every urban area. Two separate awards would be given in government school category and private school category. In collaboration with Rajya Shiksha Kendra, evaluation norms for awards have been chalked out. Evaluation will be undertaken jointly by officers of urban body and Rajya Shiksha Kendra with mutual coordination.
