Mr. Gupta at meeting of technical education department advisory committee
Bhopal, December 11, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Deputy and Joint Directors of Technical Education Department must inspect one institution once a month. This was directed by Higher and Technical Education Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at a meeting of Technical Education Department’ Advisory committee here today. Mr. Gupta said that inspection reports should be presented to him every month. Mr. Gupta said that Director Skill Development visit the Singrauli, Pithampur and other industrial areas and discuss with the officers of industrial units situated there to seek their requirement of skilled manpower. He said that according to that arrangements should be made in ITIs.
He said that all officers must work earnestly to put into practice concept of Skill India. Trainers should be imparted training regularly. Personality development training should be imparted to principals of technical education institutions. Mr. Gupta said that a placement cell should be constituted at every ITI. He congratulated Rajiv Gandhi Proudigiki Vishwavidayalya’s VC Dr. Piyush Trivedi and his team for inventing anti-cancer medicine. MLAs Mr. Kamleshwar Patel and Mr. Anchal Sonkar also presented suggestions. Director Skill Development Mr. M. Sibi Chakravarti informed that 26 new ITIs have been started during August 2015.
He informed that new trades have been introduced in 84 ITIs. Director Technical Education Dr. Ashish Dongare informed that new engineering colleges have been started from current session at Jhabua and Shahdol. Engineering colleges are being set up at Shivpuri in collaboration with NTPC and under Rashtriya Ucchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) at Dhar. He also informed about other departmental schemes. CEO of CRISP Mr. Mukesh Sharma informed that the organization would open skill centres in 25 districts in collaboration with Rural Development Department. Principal Secretary Technical Education Mr. Sanjay Singh was also present on the occasion.
