Bhopal, December 28, 2015 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Singing of music maestros of 3 generations of various Gharanas reverberated at place of practice of Sur Samrat Tansen at Gwalior today. The last music sitting under Tansen Samaroh was held at Tansen’s birthplace at Behat on the banks of Jhilmil river. On one hand emerging musician about 15 years old Prajjwal Shirke left impact and on the other hand 90 years old eminent classical singer Pt. Sriram Marathe’s presentation left the audience spell-bound.
Khayal singing of 50 years old Janab Zameer Hussain Khan was also praiseworthy. Presentation on Kalasri chorus of instruments was also made. Music lovers were left spell-bound with eminent musician Mr. Anand Purandare of Gwalior and his disciples started instrumental presentation in Rag Madmad Sarang during ‘Kalasri chorus of instruments’. First ‘Gat’ was presented in ‘Roopak Taal’. A magic was weaved on audience with sonorous symphony of different instruments encompassing various music notes.
In the same Rag ‘Mr. Ramchandra Kripalu Bhaju Manu Haran Bhavbhay Darunm’ was rendered in ‘Teen Taal’.b Prajwwal Shirke who has become a toast of eyes of big music maestros at a tender age, drew profuse encomiums from audience when he presented Bada Khayal ‘Murli Bhanak Padi’ in Gurjari Todi Ek Taal. At the conclusion of last sitting of samaroh, senior Gwalior Gharana music maestro Pt. Shriram Marathe sang in Rag Bhim Palasi. Bada Khayal ‘Ab To Sun Le’ was presented in Ek Taal and Chhota Khayal ‘Harva Garve Daroongi’ in Teen Taal. The last sitting began with Dhrupad singing by students of Sadhna Kendra Tansen Smarak, Behat. They presented Bandish ‘Neel Baran Payo Re’ in Rag Asawari Chautal.
