Rs. 38 crore drought relief deposited in farmers accounts

Bhopal, December 30, 2015 (Ataullah Faizan): Public Relations, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla has said that the state government will pay electricity bills of piped water schemes. He informed that about Rs. 38 crore drought relief has been deposited in bank accounts of farmers in the district. Mr. Shukla was chairing a meeting of district planning committee at Katni today. Mr. Shukla said that it is responsibility of officers to apprise public representatives about government works.
The Minister said that condition of villages can be transformed through MNREGA works. Payments under MNREGA works should be made timely. The Minister said that the Chief Minister is ensuring development in every sector. Basic amenities like electricity, water and roads are being provided to common people. He directed to chalk out proposals regarding drinking water.
He directed to ensure works of schemes with quality and within time-limit. MP Mr. Nagendra Singh, MLAs Mr. Sandeep Jaiswal and Mr. Saurabh Singh, Mayor Mr. Shashank Shrivastava and other public representatives put forth suggestions at the meeting. Zila Panchayat President Mrs. Mamta Patel and members of district planning committee were present in the meeting.
