Farmers training centre at Chitrakoot Gramodyog Vishwavidyalaya inaugurated
Bhopal, January 2, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Mr. Giriraj Singh has stressed need to promote animal husbandry with agriculture for farmers’ prosperity. The Union MoS Mr. Singh was dedicating Farmers Training Centre at Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya at Chitrkoot today. Energy Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla was also present on the occasion. The Union MoS said that villages will develop in real terms when farmers are economically empowered. He also referred to agriculture development works undertaken by former Prime Minister late Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri and agriculture scientists Swaminathan. He said that apart from modern techniques, we should also pay attention to our old farming traditions. Energy and Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla said that a number of measures have been taken during last 10 years for farmers’ progress and prosperity
. It is the result of these efforts that Madhya Pradesh has been conferred Krishi Karman award three times. He hoped that Madhya Pradesh will receive this award for fourth time this year also. Commissioner Agriculture Marketing Board Mr. Arun Pandey informed about modernization of agriculture produce Mandis in the state. Vice chancellor of Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Naresh Chandra Gautam informed that building of Farmers Training Centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs. one crore 20 lakh. Soil testing lab will also be constructed at same cost. The university has carved its identity through its programmes and activities.
