Bhopal, January 12, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): As many as 1500 employees of Education Department will render their services during Simhastha at Ujjain this year. They have already been trained for this. These employees will serve at various points of Simhastha Mela mainly as announcers. Services of these employees will also be obtained at offices set up in zones and sectors and Lost & Found Centres. Every person coming to Simhastha will be insured. For this, an MoU has been signed with New India Insurance Company by Ujjain Simhastha Mela office. Every devotee present at Ujjain and every permanent citizen of the city will be covered under insurance. Period of accident insurance period during Simhastha will be from April 8 to June 6, 2016.
Insurance company will be paid Rs. 1.76 crore as premium and Rs. 2 lakh insurance cover will be provided to every person within the areas of satellite townships, parking places, halting centres, flag stations and approach roads to Mela area will also be under cover of insurance. Consumer score-boards have been set up to judge quality of arrangements during Simhashta on which consumers will give zero to 10 points. Services will be judged on the basis of these points. Debit cards will function during Simhastha. Diesel, petrol, food stuff etc. can be obtained by swapping these debit cards. Through them, donation to temples can also be given.
Apart from command and control system, Ujjain Municipal Corporation has also set up a control room for all arrangements. ‘Image freezing technology’ is being used in CC TV cameras. Vehicles’ number plates and size will also be scanned by CC TV cameras through which number of passengers in them will also be learnt. ‘Geometric technology’ will be used to ensure attendance of staff to be deployed during Simhastha.
