Governor Mr. Yadav’s message to people on Republic Day
Main function held with joy and fervour
Bhopal, January 27, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): On Republic Day, Governor Mr. Ram Naresh Yadav unfurled National Flag and took salute of parade at Lal Parade ground here today. Greeting people on the occasion, he said that Madhya Pradesh is among fastest growing states in the country. Benefits of development have started reaching last person in the last row. The Governor said that the country became a Republic by adopting Constitution on January 26, 1950. Remembering freedom fighters, the Governor paid tributes to them.
The Governor said that SCs and STs have started joining mainstream of society by availing benefit of development schemes. The state government is committed to ensuring uliftment of SCs and STs. Over 10 times increase has been made in SC and ST sub-plans during last 12 years. Mr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh’s economy depends mainly on agriculture. The state is receiving Krishi Karman Award from Central government consecutive for last 4 years. For last 4 years, Madhya Pradesh’s agriculture growth rate is above 20 percent, which is probably, highest in the world. He said that special attention has been paid to development of irrigation facilities.
State’s first river link project Narmada-Kshipra Link Project has been completed. The Governor said that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a model state in energy sector. As a result, 24X7 power is being supplied in entire state while powers for 10 hours is being supplied for agriculture. Mr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has also made remarkable achievements in construction of roads. During last some years, daily 26 km long roads are being constructed. The Governor said that following Global Investors Summit 2014, capital investment of Rs. 2 lakh crore in industries are under different stages of implementation.
The government is committed to provide quality education to every child in the state. The Governor said that Madhya Pradesh has made its presence felt on the world map for women’s socio-economic empowerment. So far, over 21 lakh girls have benefited from Ladli Laxmi Yojana. He said that remarkable achievements have been made in extension of health services in the state. Maternal mortality rate has declined to 221 and infant mortality rate to 54.
