Government to extend maximum cooperation
CM Mr. Chouhan exhorts students at oriental college
Bhopal, February 23, 2016 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that nothing is impossible in life. One should make efforts by realizing their strength. He said that the state government will extend every possible assistance to youths to realize their dreams. Mr. Chouhan was addressing inaugural function of computer-aided design and manufacturing lab at Oriental College of Science and Technology here today.
Chairman of Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mr. Surjeet Singh Chouhan was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the state government will extend every possible assistance to youths to realize their dreams. Free books, uniforms, scholarships and loan for higher education on state government’s guarantee are being provided. He said that his dream is that a network of industries is laid throughout the state. For this, schemes like Mukhyamantri Udyami and Mukhyamantri Contractor Yojana are being implemented.
Venture capital fund of Rs. 100 crore has been instituted for innovative projects. He said that infrastructure of basic amenities has also been developed in the state. Three cities of the state have been covered under first 20 cities of the country under Smart City Project. He informed that the state government will spend Rs. 75 thousand crore for transforming cities. The Chief Minister stressed the need to end discrimination between sons and daughters. He informed that the state government has implemented Ladli Laxmi and Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana to end this discrimination. For women’s empowerment, they have been given 50 percent reservation in local bodies and government teachers’ posts.
Similarly, women have been given 33 percent reservation in all government departments excluding Forest Department. He informed that once Madhya Pradesh was regarded as a sick state. But now its growth rate is in double digit for last 8 years. Agriculture growth in Madhya Pradesh has surpassed every place in the world. The state has been receiving Krishi Karma Award for consecutive 4 years. Agriculture growth rate is above 20 percent. Students presented cultural programmes. Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Mr. Piyush Trivedi, institution’s Founder Chairman Mr. K.L. Thakral and Chairman of Oriental Group of Institutions Mr. Praveen Thakral were also present on the occasion.
