Rs. 2.50 lakh in urban and Rs. one lakh in rural areas to be given to construct houses
CM attends Sant Ravidas Jayanti and mass marriage programme at Rewa
Bhopal, March 4, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan was addressing Sant Ravidas Jayanti Samaroh and mass marriage programme at Rewa today. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to all-round development of SCs and STs. Madhya Pradesh will be made pioneer by following path shown by Sant Ravidas. He said that purchases for SC Ashram Shala and hostels will be made by parent-teacher associations. He also referred to schemes for welfare of students belonging to weaker sections. He informed that students are given laptops on securing 75 percent marks in Board exams.
The state government would also bear fee of scheduled caste students in government and private engineering and medical colleges. He informed that the state government will also bear expenses on foreign studies. Sheduled caste persons occupying government land will be made landowners by issuing residential lease. The Chief Minister said that scheduled caste youths should set up self-employments. Government will extend every possible assistance to them. The Chief Minister announced to install statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Rewa colletorate, construct a Dharmshala in the name of Sant Ravidas and renovate 5 Sant Ravidas temples in the district.
Energy and Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla said that Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan is committed to serving the downtrodden and suffering humanity. He has initiated a number of measures for welfare of exploited classes. The Chief Minister gave away Rs. 25 lakh for physiotherapy clinic as self-employment to scheduled caste beneficiaries, Rs. 7 lakh for Bolero vehicle, Rs. 50 thousand for music band party and Rs. 50 thousand under Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Yojana. At mass marriage ceremony, he blessed 111 couples and gave away gifts to them. MP Mr. Janardan Mishra was also present on the occasion.
