About 3 lakh visit Simhastha website in 10 months

Bhopal, March 7, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  A website has been developed to publicise Simhastha from April 22 to May 21 and disseminate information on national and international levels. Simhastha website was launched on April 21, 2015. During these 10 months, about 3 lakh people have browsed it. Along with website, Simhastha is also being widely publicized on social media. Simhastha is popular on several media. Information about it has been posted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Its Facebook page created on Marcy 3, 2015 has been liked by over lakh users. YouTube and Instagram are also highlighting the event. Number of followers of its page on Twitter has gone up to 19 thousand. Works of permanent nature have been undertaken at Ujjain to develop it as a prominent holy city of the state and country. A very useful mobile app has been developed to apprise devotees of arrangements in Simhastha Mela area.

About 5 crore devotees are expected to visit Ujjain during the mega religious congregation. The mobile app has 13 highly important and ultramodern features. In case of any emergency or accident during Simhastha, one would be able to know about nearest hospital or positioning of ambulance and path to reach zonal & sector offices, police station etc. The app also has information about ghats, ashrams, temples and worth seeing places.

Biggest feature of the app is that it contains names and plot numbers of seers of various Akhadas so that a devotee can visit a place of his choice to seek blessings from seers. The app also provides information about ATMs, petrol pumps, restaurants, Dharmshalas, bus-stops and satellite towns. Audios of announcements to be made from Mela Office will also be available on it. Arrangements of elastic search have been made to make app’s features highly useful. Elastic search is the most speedy search engines nowadays.
