CM Mr. Chouhan directs for preparations
Bhopal, March 27, 2016 (Muslim Saleem): ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday’ Abhiyan will be held from April 14 to May 31 in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will launch the ambitious campaign from Mhow. Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to chalk out an action plan to give concrete shape to this campaign. Chairing a meeting in this regard here today, the Chief Minister informed about outlines of the campaign and directed to ensure its implementation. Mr. Chouhan said that objective of the campaign is learning ground realities of rural development schemes, making necessary changes in them, ensuring benefit of schemes to every beneficiary and informing villages of schemes. Through it, governance will be made more transparent. The Chief Minister informed that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will attend programme marking 125th birth anniversary of framer of Constitution Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at his birthplace Mhow on April 14. On the occasion, the Prime Minister will launch ‘Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday’ Abhiyan.
Besides, he will also inaugurate e-mandi. MPs, MLAs, Panchayat and other public representatives will be associated with this campaign. Programmes under the campaign will be held at Gram, Janpad and Zila Panchayat levels. The Chief Minister gave clear-cut directives that no eligible beneficiary should be left out. Besides, the campaign should also be extensively monitored. During the campaign, the Chief Minister will himself undertake visits of villages for 3 days a week. Besides, officers from village to state level will also visit villages. Discussions will be held on different programmes and schemes on different days during the campaign.
The subjects to be discussed will include SC and ST welfare and social harmony programmes, apprising farmers of ways to double their income, public distribution system, women’s empowerment, Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami and Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, beneficiaries of Mudra Bank Yojana, Panchayat representatives’ convention, Crop Insurance Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, other insurance schemes, sanitation, drinking water, Divyang welfare, good governance, women’s health examination, women’s self-help groups and de-addiction.
On one day of the campaign, Villagers’ Parliament will be held where they will have open discussions on various issues like Parliament. Besides, roadmap for development works for next 5 years will be chalked out at Gram Panchayats. Villagers will be apprised of water conservation measures. Under MNREGA, action plan will be chalked out to dig new lakes and renovate old ones. On one day, villagers’ sports competitions will be held.
