CM Mr. Chouhan at passing out ceremony of new constables
Bhopal, April 7, 2016 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that 32 thousand police personnel have been recruited in Madhya Pradesh during last 5 years. Addressing 69th passing out ceremony of new constables at Police Training College, Indore today, he said that 14 thousand new police personnel will be recruited during next some years. Police stations are also being modernized in the state. Efforts are underway to provide better facilities to police personnel. DGP Mr. Surendra Sinh presided over the function. Mayor Mrs. Malini Gaud, Indore Development Authority’s Chairman Mr. Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Mr. Mahendra Hardia, Mr. Sudarshan Gupta, Mr. Rajesh Sonkar and Mrs. Usha Thakur were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that constant efforts are being made to maintain efficient law and order arrangements in Madhya Pradesh. Excellent work has been done in the state to eradicate dacoits. Naxalite and terrorist activities have also been effectively curbed. Peace and harmony prevail in the state. Atmosphere of peace, security and harmony is helping accelerating pace of development. Large number of national and international companies are coming to Madhya Pradesh. Congratulating new constables, he exhorted them to maintain glorious traditions of Madhya Pradesh police. He exhorted them to consider their service as mission.
Special attention is being paid to women’s security in Madhya Pradesh. He said that it has been decided to give 33 percent reservation to women in police recruitment. A number of important decisions regarding police personnel’s houses are also being implemented. He exhorted police personnel to pay special attention to Yoga and Dhyan for concentration and inner peace. These practices will also make them physically stronger. At the outset, Special DGP (Training) Mrs. Reena Mitra presented progress report of the programme. She informed that 1400 new constables were imparted training at the 69th training programme of Police Training College, Indore.
It is for the first time in Madhya Pradesh that such a large number of constables have been imparted training simultaneously. The trainees included 400 lady constables. College’s SP Mrs. Manisha Pathak Soni proposed a vote of thanks. Oath was administered to new constables. New constable performed passing out parade. The Chief Minister took salute. He also inspected the parade in an open Jeep. Mr. Chouhan also distributed certificates to outstanding trainees.
