Madhya Pradesh pioneer in use of video conferencing facility

Sanchi to have light & sound and Bhedaghat laser show

Bhopal, April 14, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan):  Madhya Pradesh has become the maximum user of video conferencing facility for direct dialogue with field officers. This facility has expanded with the setting up of 3 video conferencing studios at state level and 2 at district level. This was stated by Secretary to CM and MD of State Tourism Development Corporation Mr. Hari Ranjan Rao during video conferencing with corporation’s regional officers and managers here today. It was informed that Laser Show will be started at famous tourist destination Bhedaghat and Light & Sound Show at Sanchi. State’s 10 places have been selected for intensifying tourism activities. Water sports, adventure tourism, boating and other facilities will be developed there. Mr. Rao informed that arrangements will be made to elicit feedback from people by setting up call centre for tourists’ convenience. More intensive efforts would be made to improve quality of services on the basis of feedback.

Mr. Rao directed for proper sanitation arrangements at tourist destinations and corporation’s hotels, completing works for sewerage treatment plants at corporation’s boat clubs and water bodies at the earliest and compulsorily ensuring life jackets and other life saving arrangements on cruises and boats. He also directed for further activation of District Tourism Promotion Councils, covering various activities and send best practices-based Destination Experience Enhancement Plan (DEEP) with suggestions for value addition.

Additional MD Miss Tanvi Sundriyal informed about progress and performance of various units of the corporation. She informed that review meeting through video conferencing with corporation’s regional officers will be made from 5 to 6 pm on third Friday of every month. From current month, corporation’s regional meetings will be started. Deputy Secretary Tourism Mrs. Bhavna Walimbe, Executive Director Mr. O.V. Choudhary, Dr. P.P. Singh and other officers also attended the video conferencing.
