17 fire stations and 25 fire tender points available
Bhopal, April 29, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Adequate arrangements have been made to overcome contingencies including fire fighting during Simhastha at Ujjain. For this, 17 fire stations and 25 fire tender points have been set up. Each fire station has 3 fire tenders and one each at fire tender point. Ten additional temporary fire tender points have been set up on the occasion of Shahi Snan. In Mela area, 8 water mist motorcycle points have also been set up. Out of 6 fire zones in Mela area, 3 fire stations each have been set up in 5 zones – Prashanti Dham, Koyla Phatak, Veer Savarkar Chowk, Mullapura and Kartik Mela. Two fire stations have been set up in Mahakal zone. Fire stations in Prashanti Dham zone have been set up at Sanwrakheda, Lalpur and Prashanti Dham. Inspector Mr. Ravindra Kumar Bariya (mobile 9589024888) has been appointed its zonal in-charge. Koyla Phatak zone fire stations are situated on Agar Road, Koyla Phatak and Pawasa. Mr. Sunil Uikey (mobile 9977990772 ) has been appointed its zonal officer. Veer Savarkar zone comprises fire stations at Mata Sadhu ki Bawar, Veer Savarkar Chowk and Khak Chowk. Inspector Mr. Lal Singh Parmar (mobile 9981148456) is its in-charge. Mullapura zone fire stations are situated at Ujadkheda, Mullapura and Sadawal. Inspector Mr. Gopal Suryavanshi (mobile 900904866) has been made its zonal officer. Kartik Mela zone comprises fire stations at exhibition venue, Kartik Mela and Gonsa. Inspector Mr. Hiralal Merha (mobile 9826982352 ) has been appointed zonal officer.
Inspector Mr. Deepak Yadav (mobile 9926311122) has been appointed in-charge of Mahakal zone which comprises fire stations at Dewas Gate and Char Dham. In Dutt Akhada sector, 3 fire tenders and one water mist motorcycle have been arranged. Two fire tenders are of 5000 litre capacity each and one 3 thousand litres. Every fire tender is equipped with fire fighting apparatus and materials. Adequate arrangements have also been made to douse fire caused by gas cylinders, electricity wires or any other reason. Every fire tender is manned by 10 personnel. Through publicity and communication, people are being made aware of ways to prevent and control fire.
