Bhopal, May 2, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Energy and Public Relations Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla has said that 3 crore LED bulbs will be distributed in the state under Ujala Yojana. Mr. Shukla inaugurated LED bulbs distribution scheme at Rewa today. Energy Minister Mr. Shukla said that 20 lakh LED bulbs will be distributed in the district under the scheme. He informed that bulbs will be distributed through ration shops, wholesale vegetable market and sale counters at various places. He said that bulb carries 3-year warranty and can be replaced on getting fused. He said that large quantity of energy will be conserved through this scheme. Mr. Shukla informed that the state is making constant progress in new and renewable energy generation. In the state, 1300 MW wind energy has been produced. Mr. Shukla said that the state is number one in the country in this respect. Mr. Shukla informed that like LED bulbs, energy-efficient fans and agriculture pumps will also be made available to people. The Energy Minister said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will launch work of world’s largest solar power plant at Gurh in the district in June. The Minister also dedicated Ganga Ghat on Beehar river at Ganga Nagar in the district. He directed to construct changing room for women at the ghat. Later, Mr. Shukla also visited Mukundpur Tiger Safarij. He directed to ply more battery-operated buses in view of rising number of tourists. Mr. Shukla also inspected construction of tiger hut, pathway and 11 enclosures.
