Grant of Rs. 3.75 crore for teaching and learning of Sanskrit
Meeting of Maharshi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan’s executive committee
Bhopal, May 31, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): School Education Minister Mr. Paras Jain has said that teachers would be made available in all schools for Yoga training. For this, cooperation will be sought from institutions of Vasudev Jaggi Maharaj, Swami Ramdev and Sri Mr. Ravishankar. This was informed by Mr. Jain at a meeting of Maharshi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan’s executive committee. ACS School Education Mr. S.R. Mohanthy, officers of School Education Department, Sanskrit Sansthan and special invitee members attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that Sansthan is continuously working towards promoting teaching and learning of Sanskrit, associating maximum number of people with Yoga, upgradation of Jivaji observatory at Ujjain and presentations there regarding theories of Indian space scientists. Grant of Sansthan for teaching and learning of Sanskrit has been increased from Rs. 75 lakh to Rs. 3 crore 75 lakh. Executive committee has granted recognition and renewal of 176 Sanskriti school. ACS Mr. Mohanthy directed that drawing and design for Maharshi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan’s to be constructed at Bhopal should be chalked out through PWD. Minister Mr. Jain said that arrangements should be made to give incentive to students of Sanskrit Board for topping in exams and attaining other achievements. It was proposed to set up centres of Sanskrit Board’s exams at convenient places and upgrade and expand Sanskrit School at Maheshwar.
