District-wise conventions to be held under Abhiyan
Innovative districts lauded
Apex committee to declare as populated area registered in name of area with small and big trees
Bhopal, June 1, 2016 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that keeping in view results of ‘Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’, it would be held every year. This would bring transparency at local level and corruption will be curbed. District-wise conventions of Abhiyan’s beneficiaries will be held. The Chief Minister was reviewing impact and progress of 45-day ‘Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan’ while holding discussions with district collectors through video-conferencing today. Collectors informed about programmes of Abhiyan and innovations made during it. The Chief Minister apprised himself of development works undertaken in villages, status of beneficiary-oriented schemes, disposal of revenue cases, distribution of scholarships, organisation of women’s health camps, distribution of soil health cards, inclusion of eligible persons’ names and deletion of ineligible persons from BPL lists, conventions of young entrepreneurs, status of drinking water arrangements, Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme and implementation of other state government schemes.
The Chief Minister said that distribution of free LPG should be started in tribal areas at the earliest. An apex committee will be constituted to declare as populated areas, the areas registered in records as areas with small and big trees. The committee will comprise Revenue Minister, Chief Secretary and officers of concerning departments. The Chief Minister lauded the districts which did excellent work during Abhiyan. He stressed the need to conduct Abhiyan from time to time in the districts where satisfactory progress has not been registered. He directed to adopt innovations undertaken in some districts by all the districts.
Lauding installation of electricity poles under feeder separation drive with public participation and initiative of education of orphan children by enlisting them in Sheopur district, the Chief Minister said that these initiatives can be replicated in other districts as well. Novel initiative of benefiting honey producers by forming honey production company has been undertaken in Morena district. College students have been associated with Gramoday Abhiyan in Gwalior district. Social media is being used to make extension of veterinary service more effective.
Whatsapp groups of animal keepers and veterinary doctors have been formed through which animal keepers are seeing advices of experts. In Shivpuri district, maps of populated rural areas have been chalked out. The Chief Minister directed to replicate this in other districts. Besides, district level Parvarish Yojana would be implemented to identify orphan children and ensure their education and other facilities. Lauding this initiative, Mr. Chouhan said that it would prove to be effective at local level. In Guna district, special campaign is being undertaken to provide health services by specialists to high-risk pregnant women identified during women’s health check-up camps.
