In its forecast, Weather Department said that rainfall along with lightning is likely at many places of Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions and districts including Tikamgarh, Chhattarpur, Panna, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Betul and Damoh.
Local forecast for Bhopal says that sky would be partially cloudy and rain could lash city during evening hours. Winds would blow at the speed of 20 km per hour.
During evening hours, city sky got replete with clouds, giving the impression that heavy downpour may take place any time.
Weather Department said that monsoon current is approaching Bhopal and there is good moisture incursion. People are anxiously waiting for the bountiful rainfall in Bhopal.
While announcing the onset of south west monsoon, weather department had made it clear that June rainfall would not be bountiful and rainfall activities would gather pace in the end of month. Already weather department had predicted bountiful rainfall in this monsoon season and said that monsoon would be normal. Notably, it was from last two years that monsoon had been below normal in Madhya Pradesh, leaving adverse effect on agriculture.
