Union MoS for forests, environment and climate change Mr. Javadekar reviews
Bhopal, June 27, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Union Minister of State for Forests, Environment and Climate Change Mr. Prakash Javadekar apprised himself of ongoing forestry schemes in Madhya Pradesh here today. Mr. Javadekar lauded works undertaking in the state under joint forest management. ACS Mr. Deepak Khandekar, Chief Wildlife Warden & Chief of Forest Force Dr. Abhishek Shukla and other senior officers were present on the occasion. Union MoS Mr. Javadekar stressed the need to promote private plantation. Rules in this regard should be simplified. The meeting was informed that department has developed online software to promote private plantation. Through this software, farmers can undertake plantation in planned manner. Through it, necessary action can also be taken regarding cutting of trees and issuance of transit letters as required. The Union MoS directed to provide outlines of this scheme.
Union MoS Mr. Javadekar said that proposals of three year action plans to avail amounts under Campa Fund should be submitted at the earliest so that they are endorsed and funds are released to state in April itself every year. The meeting discussed abolition of prescribed amount demanded by Union Telecommunication Ministry for use of wireless network by the department. Union MoS assured to get the problem solved through discussions with Telecommunication Ministry.
