Together they created history in 1999 when Mahesh Manjrekar directed Vaastav with Sanjay Dutt essaying the central character Raghu. The movie is known for being one of the best performances delivered by Sanjay in his film career.
And now, buzz is that the hit director-actor jodi of Mahesh and Sanjay is all set to make a comeback after a gap of 10 years. As per news sources, the duo will soon work on the Hindi remake of Marathi film De Dhakka.
On the same the actor has been quoted by a publication saying, “I’m looking forward to it. Mahesh has already done the film in Marathi. I’m excited to work with him because we have always shared a special relationship. As a director, he manages to extract good performances from his actors. Also, De Dhakka is an amazing film. It’s a laugh riot about a disjointed family that gets together for a reason. Though the comedy is important, there are a lot of other emotions that really appealed to me.”
The Hindi version of the Marathi film which was written by Mahesh himself will be produced by Omung Kumar and Sandeep Singh.
