Bhopal, August 10, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): In order to redress the grievances as regard to billing, the Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidhyut Vitran Co. has issued directives to ensure immediate redressal of the grievances. The Company has clarified that the bills on the basis of average billing should be issued to the consumers in case of faulty meters. Also, average billing should not be done in case of flawless meters. Immediate action should be taken after the receipt of the complaint. It may be mentioned that the company receive complaints directly from the consumers besides Samadhan Online and CM Helpline. Keeping in account the average billing complaints received from the consumers, the company has issued directives to organize camps for the redressal of the grievances at the field level. Also, average billing should be done in the premises where meters are found faulty. The company has also clarified that the billing should be done in accordance to the provisions of the Tariff Order in case of meter less connections. Also ensure immediate replacement of faulty or burned out meters to assess the accurate consumption of electricity. For making an action plan in this and redress the average billing grievances. In case of complaints about average billing despite flawless meters, action should be taken against the concerning person. Also, the field officers have been instructed to undertake sudden inspection of the consumer’s premises and take action against the concerned officers for sending bills on average basis, where meters are found okay.
