Indore (Madhya Pradesh – India): An SUV dashed a car crossing Super Corridor at Indore on Friday. Assistant Prof. of DAVV Dr. Ramesh Jatwa (36), his son Vinay (14), aunt Parvati (55), Ghani Bai (45) and Kala Bai (40) traveling in the car died on the spot. The SUV Safari was being driven by anti-social person Pintoo Thakur. Bottles of liquor have also been found in SUV. The vehicle is registered in the name of Dilip Verma of Raoji Bazar.
According to aerodrome police, the accident occurred at about 3.15 pm. Dr. Ramesh was returing along with his younger son Vinay and three aunts from his ancestral home at Hatod to Bandara. After crossing one lane on super corridor, as soon as he reached the second lane then the SUV coming from Banganga side at a speed of 120 kms hit the car. So intense was the collision that professor’s car dragged by about 50 feet and reached the green belt.
Fire brigade and police had to face great difficulty in taking dead bodies out of the car. They have sent the bodies for post mortem. Injured SUV driver Pintoo Thakur has been sent to hospital after arrest.
