Senior SP leader and UP Minister Azam Khan once again courted controversy by terming Samajwadi Party a sinking ship.
According to media reports, while answering questions on leaders deserting the party, he said that ‘rats are the first ones to run when a ship sinks’.

Later, he added that the SP leaders who are leaving the party fear losing their ticket.
This is not the first time Azam Khan has made controversial statement.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court issued notice to him and the UP government for making irresponsible comments in the Bulandshahr rape case.
The court asked them to respond to the question when a victim files and FIR whether any person holding public office can comment that it is outcome of political controversy.
