Although Jio has announced unlimited data until the 31st of December, you only receive a limited data of upto 4 GB. The new offer that’s released limits users to a consumption of upto 4 GB data, after which the speed would reduce to 128Kbps.
Although the company declared a tariff of Rs. 50/GB and an unlimited free night usage, the clause attached mentions a specific timing. That’s right! You’ll be allowed to use unlimited data only between 2 am to 5 am i.e., for a duration of 3 hours alone.
Reliance Jio launched SIM cards with an offer of free data for 3 months, upto the month of December. Post this, the user will need to activate the SIM with a tariff. Although tariff plans haven’t been disclosed as yet, the clauses have to be paid a close watch.
Post the launch of Jio, several cellular operators have taken a legal action against Jio with TRAI, stating Reliance has released data packs illegally. According to the reports, Jio launched its business without paying a spectrum charge to the govt, while the other commercial networks still continue to.
Although Reliance Jio is performing brilliantly with data packs, it’s the voice calls that are in quite a trouble. With over 65% drop in voice calls, Jio is unable to establish a connection with Vodafone, Airtel and Idea networks with over 1.6 crore failed calls.
