Kunwar Vijay Shah felicitated teachers on teachers’ day
Bhopal, September 6, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Minister for school education Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that the state government is committed for honour and welfare of teachers. Many decisions have been taken in the interests of teachers in recent years. The school education minister was addressing state-level teachers felicitation function. The minister felicitated 12 teachers on the occasion for remarkable contribution in education. The teachers who received the Presidential awards were also felicitated. Minister for school education Mr. Deepak Joshi, additional chief secretary, Mr. SR Mohanty and commissioner, Rajya Shiksha Kendra Mrs Dipti Gaud Mukharjee were present in the function. School education minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that the government had given status of ‘Rashtra Nirmata’ to teachers, is a remarkable thing. He said time scale salary will be provided to teachers soon. Benefits under the seventh pay commission will also be provided to them. The School education minister said at least one teacher from a district will be chosen for the state level award from the next year. Minister of state for school education Mr. Deepak Joshi said that the number of students scoring over 85 percent marks in class XII had gone up due to the hardwork of teachers.
Rs 25, 000 cash, shawl and appreciation letter was presented to each of 12 teachers in the state level function. The teachers who received the presidential awards, were given Rs 2100 cash, shawl and shriphal. Commissioner, public instructions, Mr. Neeraj Dubey informed that works related with welfare of teachers are being carried out through Teachers Welfare Foundation. Financial help has been provided to teachers suffering with serious illness and their children for vocational education. Shikshak Sadans are being constructed as guest houses. Medicinal plants were presented to guests to welcome.
