Sanskrit is perhaps one such language that refuses to die. May be, that is why this maulana, in communally-sensitive area of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh teaches Sanskrit and Quran to his students.
Jamali teaches over 150 students, mostly from poor families, in the Hindu-dominated Sadar area of Meerut.
‘Maulana Chaturvedi’ was born in Champaran in Bihar, and later shifted to Darul Uloom of Deoband after completing his primary education. After finishing his studies at Darul Uloom of Deoband, Jamali developed a keen interest in learning Sanskrit. He holds a PhD in Quran Sharif.
Jamali later took admission at Aligarh Muslim University for pursuing MA in Sanskrit.
