Gas relief hospitals to become super specialty hospitals
MoS Mr. Sarang reviews action plan for next three months
Bhopal, September 9, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Minister for Gas Tragedy, Relief, Rehabilitation and Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Mr. Vishwas Sarang said that smart card will be prepared for each gas victim which will contain all the medical treatment information. A work plan for the next three months has been chalked out related to health and socio-economic development of all the gas victims. He further informed that gas relief hospitals will be transformed into super specialty hospitals. Mr. Sarang was reviewing the Gas Tragedy, relief and rehabilitation department here today. Principal Secretary Mrs. Gouri Singh, Director Mr. Krishna Gopal Tiwari and Director Kamla Nehru Hospital Mr. K.K. Dubey were present in the meeting. Mr. Sarang said that directives were given by him in the first review meeting of the department to prepare a work plan for the next three months. It has been decided as per the work plan, that smart card will prepared for every gas victim containing all the information related to their diseases. On this basis, it will be easy to prepare policy on health and socio – economic rehabilitation of the gas victims. He further mentioned that besides making gas victims’ hospitals modernized, specialty will be provided in the hospital keeping in view the medical services and special treatment service will be provided for one of the diseases to the gas victims. He said that treatment of eyes and respiratory related diseases besides trauma center and world class blood bank are part of the work plan.
Mr. Sarang said that survey has been done on all the aspects of the gas victims and schemes based on these will be implemented within one month. DPR will be prepared for each hospital and the proposed future schemes will be included in this. Help of outsourcing will be taken on the basis of CGSH in order to provide advance tests facilities like MRI, CT scan, Abdomen CT, Colar Doppler and Megography. Mr. Sarang has informed that arrangements will be made for eyes treatment, dialysis, ICU, pathology and surgery in Kamla Nehru hospital. Also number of beds will be increased as per the need.
Besides Mukhyamantri Swa-rozgar yojna, flatted industries will be established for the children of gas victims to enable them to get employed under the economic rehabilitation. DIC has been told to prepare scheme soon in this regard. Mr. Sarang further informed that pension facility of Rs. One thousand per month for gas victim’s widows for the period of five years is on the verge of expiry. Proposal to extend it for further five years will be sent to the central government. Special attention will be paid towards the infrastructure development and sanitation in the gas affected areas. Also, proposal as regard to construction of drainage system, roads and other construction works will be sent to the central government.
