Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan had a joint meeting of ministers-officers
Bhopal, September 15, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that woman and child development and health department to launch a joint drive to remove malnutrition from the state. Take the cooperation of all sections of the society. Release a white paper on malnutrition and maternal-infant mortality rate. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan was reviewing Jansankalp-2013, Manthan 2014 and Vision 2018 in a joint meeting of ministers and senior officers today at Mantralaya. In the meeting, Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that all have responsibility for development and carry out public welfare works as a team of Madhya Pradesh. It should be taken seriously and make the state leader in every field. He reviewed points related with 19 departments and rest will be taken up for review on September 20. The Chief Minister issued necessary directives to departments concerned. He said, action should be taken on the directives considering them as policy decisions. He said review meeting will be held in every three months.
Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that to eradicate problem of malnutrition and reduce maternal-infant mortality rate is challenging task. A committee comprising woman and child development minister, public health and family welfare minister, additional chief secretary, forests, principal secretary, woman and child development and principal secretary, public health and family welfare, was constituted to make necessary arrangements in this regard. Mr. Chouhan said that Swagatam Laxmi campaign should be made a public campaign.
Make proper arrangements for treatment of malnourished children and frame a scheme to financially empower women self help groups. A detail action plan be made to promote productions by self help groups. It was informed in the meeting that 16000 beneficiaries were benefited under community leadership skill programme being run by woman and child development department. Total 3779 child marriages were prevented under Lado campaign. Shorya Dals were constituted in all 51 districts. Udita corners were made in all 80,000 aangawaris to provide sanitary napkins under Udita Yojana.
