In a step to give tremendous boost to students who have received admission under RTE in Uttar Pradesh, the Education Department has decided to provide them with Rs 5,000 to buy school uniform and books.
The school fee of the students admitted to school under the Right to Education Act is reportedly paid by the government.

According to a report, Basic Shiksha, Ajay Kumar said, “The procedure would complete by the month of October.”
As per official records in 2016, around 3000 students got admission through RTE Act while the total applications received were around 4296. Whereas in the year 2015, there were only 114 admissions through RTE Act while there were no such admission in 2014.
Agra is next only to Varanasi (3318) in the number of students admitted under RTE Act.
Chairperson of Bharat Abhyudaya Foundation (ABF), an organization that works for the education rights of poor children in Uttar Pradesh, Samina Bano, said that they have demanded online tracking of students admitted under RTE Act should be made possible so that their details are available online. This will bring transparency in admission procedure under RTE Act.
