Bhopal, October 4, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Strict action to be taken in the areas to impose fine to affected houses where dengue patients are being found again and again. Principal Secretary, health, Mrs. Gauri Singh said this while reviewing infectious diseases including dengue. She reviewed information about the cases reported in districts including Bhopal. It was informed that 32 samples were sent for investigation on October 2, out of which only seven were found positive. Health commissioner Mrs. Pallavi Jain, director Dr KL Sahu, Dr BN Chouhan and officials of municipal corporation and health department were present. The principal secretary, reviewing the cases in sequence, said that action be taken considering entire area as affected where dengue cases are coming afore. Impose fine immediately in case of dengue larva is found in survey again. She asked municipal corporations to take the action from next day. Maximum fine of Rs. 500 can be imposed. It was informed in the meeting that 989 patients of dengue were found in 46 districts of the state since April 1, in which 145 patients are getting treatment in different hospitals in the state. Total 32 samples were sent for dengue investigation on Sunday, October 2, out of which seven were reported positive. Similarly, no patient of chikunguniya has been found on October 2. Since April 1, 150 patients had been found in 24 districts.
Six of them are under treatment. Similarly, samples of 405 suspected patients were collected for swine flu, in which negative report was found in 403 cases. Only two reports are pending. No patient is under treatment at present. Reviewing is being made by officials of health department daily for prevention from infectious diseases. Review is being made about survey, fogging and treatment. Instructions are issued to district officials from the meeting and this has brought pace in the working.
