Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has inaugurated the new annexe building ‘Lok Bhavan’ in the state capital. The building, built at a cost of Rs 602 crore, will be the new office of the Chief Minister.
According to reports, the building has been built in the area of 6 acres – which is equal to the area of five football grounds – and has a capacity to accommodate 1,330 officers and employees.
The five-storey high-tech building will have facilities like Wi-Fi connectivity, paperless working, escalators, and CCTVs installed in every corner of the building.
Apart from the CM secretariat, the building will also have the offices of the chief secretary, principal secretary, information and principal secretary, personnel.
The construction of the building had started in 2014.
