Urban administration and development department issues directives
Bhopal, October 6, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): The directives to impose spot fine of Rs 500 on residents on finding dengue larva second time, as per the instructions of principal secretary health Mrs. Gauri Singh. This information was given by urban administration department during daily review of infectious diseases control. Mrs. Singh had asked to take strict measures and impose spot fine in the areas reporting frequent dengue cases. The department has now issued directives to all municipal corporation commissioners, chief municipality officers and city councils. It was informed in the meeting that 1065 dengue patients were found in 46 districts, since April 01 in the state. Out of them, 132 patients are under treatment. Total 147 samples were sent for investigation on October 4, out of which 32 samples were found positive. Besides 57 samples were sent for investigation of chikunguniya and seven were found positive. There were 161 patients were found since April 1 in 25 districts and four patients are under treatment at present. Samples were collected for swine flu from 411 suspected patients since April in the state. Reports were negative in 410 cases. At present, no report of swine flu is pending and no patient is under treatment in any hospital in the state.
