WCD Minister Mrs. Archana Chitnis
Bhopal, October 9, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Minister for Women and Child Development Mrs. Archana Chitins said that changes will be made in nutritious food distribution arrangements. Mrs. Chitins further mentioned that new arrangement will be implemented from April 1 taking into account research and distribution in the field of nutrition and food processing conducted in the last few years for supply chain management and I.T., resources like bar code, GIS etc. Before this, an interim arrangement will be started which will continue till March end. A detail report will be presented to the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan soon as regard to the interim arrangements. This information was given by Mrs. Chitnis at the second meeting of committee formed by the state government related to nutritious food today. Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Rustom Singh and other committee members were present in the meeting. It may be mentioned that state level committee consisting 5 members were formed related to nutritious food by the state government on September 23, 2016. Minister Mrs. Chitnis said that improvement has been made in the nutrition level by the constant efforts of the state government during the last 10 years. The state government is making continuous efforts for improvement in nutrition and health related indicators. She said that keeping in account announcement made by the chief minister and directives of government of India and Supreme Court, nutritious food arrangement will be made qualitative as per the prescribed standard. Encouragement for excellent work and responsibility will be included in the implementation.
