New train for Singrauli to Delhi and Bhopal
Foundation laid for Rewa-Sidhi-Singrauli railway line and railway station
Bhopal, October 19, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that new avenues of prosperity will open in Vindhya region with foundation laid for Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli broad gauge rail line. Union Railways Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu announced that new train will be run between Singarauli to Delhi till Bhopal. He said that Rs 1.21 lakh crore had been proposed for completing railways projects speedily this year in rail budget. He said that efforts will be made to complete Sidhi-Singrauli rail line by the year 2019. CM Mr. Chouhan and Railways Minister Mr. Prabhu today laid foundation for 165 km long Rewa-Sidhi-Singrauli broad gauge rail line and railway station, costing Rs 2200 crore. They laid foundation and dedicated different construction works worth Rs 35 crore in Antoday Mela. Minister for commerce and industries Mr. Rajendra Shukla was present in the programme. CM Mr. Chouhan said that new avenues would be opened up for employment, industries and economic progress in entire Vindhya region following commencing of work on Sidhi to Rewa, Singrauli broad gauge rail line. He said that the dream for glorious, prosperous and powerful India is being materialised under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Mr. Chouhan said that poor welfare year is being observed in the state for upliftment of poor and they are being provided benefits under different schemes. He said that ten lakh houses will be constructed in rural areas and five lakh in urban areas in next two years. He mentioned schemes for distribution of free text books, uniform, bicycles and scholarship to students. He said that financially weaker children of general category will also be given scholarship with scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and OBC students.
The government will provide fee to children for admission in medical, IITs, IIMs. He informed about steps taken in the welfare of women. The Chief Minister said that efforts are being made for industrial development in Sidhi district. He urged the Union Railways Minister for extension of new rail line from Sidhi to Bhadora and Sidhi to Allahabad via Mauganj. The chief minister administered pledge to present people for participating in clean India campaign, not doing gender disparity and plant saplings.
Union Rail Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu said that 900 km new rail line would be developed in next three years, along with doubling of 1000 km rail line and electrification work. He said that loan to the tune of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand crore had been taken from LIC for construction of new rail line, extension and starting new trains and increasing passengers facilities. On the Chief Minister’s request for 35 km long Sidhi to Bhadora rail line extension, the minister said that it will be included in railway action plan and budget.
