fatherHYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a man faked death of his father, a doctor based in Muscat, Oman. Reason: To sell family property for Rs 89 lakh by fabricating a death certificate in the name of his father.

Central Crime Station (CCS) investigators said that K Sudhakar, a pharmacist, in collusion with his accomplices -Vara Prasad, Rajya Lakshmi, Kiran, Venkat Reddy , Sudhakar Reddy , Kanakambara Rao and Nagender -fabricated a death certificate of Venkateshwara Rao, Sudhakar`s father.

“Though Venkateshwar Rao is alive and staying in Muscat, Sudhakar executed a sale deed in the name of Vara Prasad and mortgaged the house located at Vasavi Nagar in Karkhana with Ms Magma Finance and raised Rs 89 lakhs. But Vara Prasad defaulted on payment of the monthly instalments as per the terms and conditions of loan,” deputy commissioner of police (CCS) Avinash Mohanty said.
