Special scheme should be prepared for training of visually and hearing impaired youths
MoS Mr. Joshi at National Conference on “Skill with quality”
Bhopal, November 10, 2016 (Ataullah Faizan): I.T.I. should be established at each block in coordination with the Union, State Government and Private partnership. Special scheme focusing fixed trades and complete planning about training and employment should be prepared for 100 percent visually and hearing impaired youths. Minister of State for Technical Education and Skill Development (Independent Charge) Mr. Deepak Joshi gave these suggestions at a National Conference of State Ministers on “Skilling with Quality” held at New Delhi. The conference was also addressed by the Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Mr. Rajeev Pratap Rudy. MoS Mr. Joshi said that a new policy should be framed for affiliation of private I.T.I.s. Moreover, the role of the state governments should be clarified in the implementation of Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme. He further said that skill should be linked to the loan. After the training, loan should be provided immediately to the person interested to begin in his/her own business. Also, Mega Skill Center should be set up near Industrial area. Mr. Joshi further mentioned that overseas placement agency should be established to provide employment opportunities to the trained persons overseas. Moreover, the overseas placement agency should be linked with Madhya Pradesh Training and Placement Cell. Mr. Joshi said that survey should be conducted for skill gap to determine training programme in special area. He also informed about the remarkable works carried out in the state. Principal Secretary Technical Education Mrs. Kalpana Shrivastava was present in the conference.
