Bhopal, November 21, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Public Relation, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra met injured passengers of rail accidents occurred near Kanpur. Minister Dr. Mishra visited the accident sites and ensured arrangements to hospitalize victims especially Madhya Pradesh residents. He was managing arrangements for transporting bodies of deceased to their family members. Teams of officers with rescue members are active in relief works there. After discussion with Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Public Relations Minister Dr Mishra immediately left for Kanpur from Datia by road. Dr Mishra cancelled all his scheduled programmes in Gwalior and Datia. As Minister Dr Mishra got information about derailment of Indore-Patna Express train near Kanpur, he talked with the Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan. Officers in teams from Datia, Gwalior and Chhatarpur left for the spot. Minister Dr Mishra handed over the task of relief and rescue to 20-member team of doctors and revenue staff, besides district collector of Datia Mr. Madan Kumar and Superintendent of Police Mr. Irshad Ali.
According to primary information, injured persons have been admitted in health centres in Bhati, Devipur and Pukhraya near Kanpur. Public Relations Minister Dr Mishra met injured passengers. Bodies of deceased have been kept in mortuary in Akbarpur. Family members of the 14 passengers killed in the accidents have been contacted and provided necessary help who so far have been identified. Relief works are on at the accident site.
